Section 1: Immigration detention numbers and demographics – Nei Kwu Correctional Institution (NKCI)

Nei Kwu Correctional Institution (NKCI) was converted into an immigration detention centre on 18 May 2023 and is managed by the prison authority, the Correctional Services Department (CSD).

NKCI has a capacity of 236 persons and holds female adult immigration detainees under the Immigration Ordinance.
